Plane Carrying US Defense Secretary Required to Touch Down in UK Due to Crack in Windshield

A jet ferrying Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was compelled to make an unscheduled landing in the UK on Wednesday after a crack was discovered in the jet's front window, as stated by an official statement which verified that the secretary was unharmed.

"The aircraft landed in accordance with established safety measures and all passengers, among them Pete Hegseth, is safe," an official representative said in a online announcement.

The secretary was coming back from a quick journey to the Belgian capital at the time.

This occurrence does not mark the first occasion that a US military aircraft carrying a high-ranking official has encountered mechanical issues.

Months ago, a American military jet ferrying Secretary of State Marco Rubio to the city in Germany was compelled to head back to Washington after encountering a mechanical problem.
