In a unexpected partnership that breaks usual predictions, the game developer has announced an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Questline Revealed

According to the authorized statement, "A mysterious meeting leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where whispers of banned rituals and terrifying metamorphoses reverberate through the darkness." The storyline presents a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who charges the characters with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a secret cult.

The questline focuses on "strange trials and a terrifying adversary" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Iconic Places and Changes

The teaser features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer concludes with a dramatic scene showing a character, probably the prisoner, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Rewards and Additional Features

Players who finish the adventure will acquire an special katana together with several objects concealed throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
